This class was so unnecessarily difficult. You think its a good deal to not have to buy a text book, until you realize all the money and gas and parking you spend going to concerts. The first couple weeks are deceiving, it gets much more difficult. He even tells you, music majors will get As, the rest of you Cs. Believe him. Not for those wjobs

Everything I learned I taught myself by reading the modules on canvas. He does NOT follow the syllabus and has no real office hours, he never answers emails so good luck if you have class questions. He gives A quality papers a B and C grade on purpose. First day of class he said no one gets A's and its gonna take hard work to get a B

Prof Knight seemed really cool at first, but I soon learned that cool does not make a good teacher. I taught myself everything I needed to know out of the book; I learned nothing from him. He did not follow his syllabus AT ALL. He was scatter-brained most classes and his grading on papers was extremely harsh. I would not recommend him to anyone.

He is never clear in his lectures, not really informative, and does not really teach well. Just assigns essays and expects you to know all the material. Does not bother to make a connection to his students which is important to develop a comfortable learning environment.

He needs to be more helpful on how we can improve on our essays. The concerts that we are needing to go to, some are not that easy to get to if you don't have your own vehicle. Also, dealing with Spotify is hard when some people have limited access to a computer.

Overall, a nice class/teacher. My main issue was that I did more essays in the class than I have ever done in any of my English classes. If you usually get A's on your papers, you will get a B, etc. Hw consists of Music History essays and listening to classical music. Random pop-quizzes on the music and class notes. Show up daily and on time.

His tests are multiple choice but he will throw you questions you don't really cover.You'd do better if you are an excellent writer in this course. Your grade will depend on it.
