Her personality is just like her last name );( No sense of humor; no personality. Lectures were long and unclear; exams were ambiguous. Unwarned quizzes; no curve; no extra credit; tough grader. DO NOT TAKE HER! Avoid as all cost.

Ignores student perspective. It's her way or the wrong way. Quizzes are confusing. The class topic is so easy to understand but somehow this professor mixes in her own ideas and it turns into a completely, hectic and confusing class. Despite receiving an A, I know that this class is a "GPA Killer". I wouldn't recommend this class, 3/10

This was one of my favorite classes at UC Davis. Dr. Wolf not only teaches about family, but also about all the other issues that impact the family. It was a super interesting class and I learned a lot about the family as well as societal issues surrounding it. Tests are straightforward if you put in the work (readings and attending lecture).

Be aware this professor does not appreciate student opinions. If you are not a mind reader, she will completely shut down your comments. This class is not hard but her condescending attitude makes students apprehensive to participate in class discussion. She did not give us a chance to evaluate her, but instead insisted we do it on her time.

Dr. Wolf is very knowledgeable and overall cares about student success. I respect her as a professor. That being said, she does rub you the wrong way. She creates an uncomfortable environment for participation. You feel stupid if you don't answer her vague question precisely how she wants. She does reward effort as reflected in grades, though.

Dr. Wolf does really care about her students. I don't understand all these negative reviews. If you are disrespectful, don't expect her to go out of her way but if you're working hard she seems to be able to tell. The class requires work but you'll learn a lot if you do put in the work. Interesting class and I would take it again.

You work for it and youll get an A. This is not a class where you can kick back but also shouldnt be your most tough class either .Honestly its fairly average. Everyone who hates here just didnt want to do the work. Do it and youll be fine. I promise

Worst professor I have taken at UCD. Her tests are very subjective, and she's a tough grader. You can literally rebuttal every question on her test. She has a horrible memory, so make sure you don't ask her to repeat herself (because she forgets). She is also very rude, HATES when people walk in late, and gets distracted easily. Avoid her!!

I don't hate many people. BUT I HATE THIS PROFESSOR! She is condescending, rude, conflict specific and incredibly uncompromisable. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She is unfair with her grading, will not accommodate for sick days or family deaths I'm a white male. one time she said to me, "People like you need to realize they can't get their way". wow.

This teacher is one word. RUDE. she is passive aggressive and kind of a bully. She asks these long winded confusing unclear questions and when no one answers them she lashes out. god bless the poor souls that try to answer the questions. Oh but don't ask her to repeat herself because she'll just tell you she doesn't remember what she just said.

Not a very helpful professor. She may be funny sometimes and enthusiastic about her topics, but when it comes to student's opinions, she is not very open. Assignments were not clear and feedback was not helpful at all.

Honestly, I am fairly confident that she wrote all of the positive reviews herself. I am an 'A' student, but I don't know anyone who would speak well of her. She is unclear in her expectations, terrible to communicate with, and doesn't understand student questions at all. I got a decent grade in the class, but I would seriously NEVER take it again.

As a person, she is very sweet and thoughtful. My only complaint is her grading. I really don't mind putting in effort but after a whole quarter I still couldn't figure out what she wanted. I would go off her suggestions and still get points deducted. Very frustrating.

Bias information presented without any acknowledgement of different socioeconomic views. Very limited experience as an 1 of the 2 black . In class. Poor representation of the black family, overall discouraging and unhelpful. Grading structure is vague and unpredictable. Consider a different course.

I poured my heart in this class and still ended up with a b-. Her instructions on assignments are unclear and sometimes incorrect. However, she will still deduct points for things that are not even the students fault.

Prof Wolf is awesome! she really cares about the success of her students. she doesn't use powerpoint, which scared me at first, but she's so organized and interesting you really don't need it. One of the best soc professors i've taken at UCD.

I really enjoyed this class, I found my self looking forward to it. Her lectures are clear, she’s very passionate, and funny. She doesn’t do powerpoint but I realized that allowed me to stay focused and engaged in her lecture. She asks for feedback throughout the class in order to accommodate students. I totally recommend her class.

I love her, she's a great professor, who's really passionate about what she teaches. Her exams are easy and its based on the study guide, her assignments are easy and clear as well. I dont know why so many people complain that she's hard, grow up,put in the effort, really try and stop blaming her or other stuff for your failures and incapabilities.

I really loved Diane's class. I thought she was very clear, and transparent. She is really nice, and is obviously passionate and knowledgeable about the subject. I will take more classes with her in the future. I felt like I got a lot from this class, without stressing TOO much over "getting a good grade." If you put in the work, you'll do well.
