Comment:

You just need to memorize the slides to the point where you can answer tricky questions on exams. The first exams is not too bad, the second one is all genetic problems, and the third was heavy on last material.

Comment:

There's only exams, but you'll do well with just his slides. I found that he mostly just read off of his slides, so I stopped going to lecture eventually, and managed to do well just by studying the slides the day before tests. Managed to be slightly above the average doing that, so if you genuinely try, you can't really fail. Labs were easy too.

This class was beyond difficult. Questions were very tricky and he was definitely not the best at explaining the material. Don't take him for Bio 102 unless you want to risk getting a low grade. Curved at a C+ (I know cause i literally had average and got a C+) -_-

This class basically was the hardest that Ive took. He just read off his slides and not explain them, his lecture has nothing to do with his exams. Homework lots of them and none of them were on the exams. Get ready to read the book.

Comment:

Boring lectures, basically photos from textbook. Accent was hard to understand. Tons of optional homework for you to study with, however he doesn't show you how to do them. Lectures are posted but ur expected to apply those concepts to solve word problems. When examples are down he is unclear & quick. 100 points for entire class, so don't mess up.

Very friendly and approachable professor. His lectures are very clear and he basically tells you what to study the exam. He shows great enthusiasm for his lectures so try to be engaged with him. Also, he uses memes in his PowerPoints which you can't see in the slides he gives for y'all to read at home!

So I had Maslov for genetics, and I can say as a person he is great! And yes his lectures are easy to follow, but even trying at your hardest, you're going to struggle. His exams are heavily weighted... You just have 100 points that count for your grade so 1 pt you miss is 1% of your grade. I honestly wish I had taken stats before I took genetics.

Prof. Maslov has a heavy accent so sometimes it's hard to understand what he's trying to say. Overall, he is a good professor you just need to do the readings for the book (which are optional) and you'll be fine. 4 quizzes worth 5 pts each and go to discussion you'll get easy attendance points which help overall grade.

This guy, he basically ask for specific concepts off of his slides and the wording can be tough. It's definitely not an easy A, but it's definitely easy to pass, but VERY HARD to get an A. Just ditch class and study the slides, seriously this guy is boring. I would personally not take the class again, and would advise others to avoid this guy.

Super nice professor but lectures can get a little boring sometimes (especially if lecture is after lunch). Very helpful and willing to stay after class and answer questions. Do all the homework and do the practice tests, understand the ones you got wrong, and get the concepts down. PRACTICE the problems!

SO MUCH WORK! Do the homework and practice tests, you will score high. I couldn't understand his accent and couldn't stop falling asleep in class but, he's a wonderful person and spends lots of after-lecture time helping people.

First of all he is adorable, I absolutely love his accent. But this class kicked my ass, one of the only 2 B's I've ever received. His tests are MC and 1 question is equivalent to 1% of your grade. It's insane. Also the tests are very tricky. And his lectures are absurdly boring....
