Comment:
I am a rising senior pre-law student with 124 hours completed toward a triple major. One of those majors is philosophy, which I feel very comfortable with and am well versed in. Masolo gave me my second B. Ever. Very disappointed with the structure of this course and his feedback, which was virtually nonexistent. Unfair, subjective, not worth it.

A grandfatherly figure. I deeply respect Masolo, as do most who take him. He is usually available for help and loves to discuss topics. You can get by with little effort, I suppose, But there is real enjoyment in striving to learn, and he will reward you in kind for your effort. A good man, but with a Thick accent and a little scattered.

One of the kindest professors I've had. Very knowledge over nearly everything. We had three 5- page papers to write, and he was willing to help students nearly anytime outside of class and office hours. I learned a great deal from him- about philosophy and life in general. He is from Kenya, so he has a thick accent.

I really loved Masolo's class. We always sat in a circle and usually spoke informally and I learned a great deal. He is a very smart, nice man. Sometimes he gets annoyed with slackers, but so do I. Just put an effort into his class and he will reward you for it. Get to know him outside of class and he's a great guy!

He's great at explaining things, if you need a better explanation on something discussed in class, talk to him during office hours. He can be very helpful.

Interesting professor, got an A on the first paper that I wrote the night before, no tests. Seems to be an easy A even though class discussions are difficult to follow and I usually zone out.

He can be arrogant at times but most profs who know their subject can be. We had good class discussions and the papers were pretty easy. If you need an A with relatively low effort, I would recommend him.

he is one of the nicest and most educated people ive ever met. He loves philosophy and wants to bring out the same love in his students. the class is discussion oriented and there are no exams, just contemplative papers about the discussions in class. He is very funny and very supportive of questions. Awesome guy who was meant to teach.

Very bright, genuine personality; always exploding with ideas about the course topics. Class revolves around discussion (i.e. desks in a circle) and several written papers. No attendance policy, but not going to class means missing the discussion and closing yourself off from the ideas of your classmates. Originally African, educated in Europe.
