Comment:
I think that he took a potentially difficult class and made it understandable. But the slow pace in class boggles the mind. I think I could have learned a lot more if I had taken another teacher, but maybe the lectures wouldn't have been as clear. I suppose its a trade off. Generally good prof though.

Bouch is an excellent professor. He knows what he's talking about and makes sure everyone can understand it. Lectures are very organized and the exam was straightforward.

Talks some real time stories beyond the point over and over and wastes time. Coz of his math background, introduces lotsa math stuff but forgets that this is computer science. Class lost its focus in the second half. No implementation for the hard stuff he taught, so, its basically useless after a while. Dr. Bouch, please provide implementation and

This class is mind-numbingly boring! He goes so slow it is painful to listen- plus he has a French accent. Lab is required but only 5% of grade. 2 online quizes are easy and 2 hw assignments are very easy. Final is questionable as you have to write code from the top of your head on paper w/o a comp.

He's literally one of the best and most personable CSE professors OU has. He's intelligent and wants you to understand. He's responsive, cooperative and will reword things if he's not clear. He talks to you like an equal. He seems to get annoyed when people leave or don't show up.

Booch is great. I like his format. Classes range from not too difficult (CSE 450) to, pretty damn hard (CSE 513). Booch is tough but fair. Great French accent, funny sometimes. He used to be a math professor (in France), CSE 513 reflects that.

If you don't already know the material to some level, he's not going to help you with the basics. He spent the first 25% of each class talking about his teaching philosophy. Now he rushes through the material because time is short.
