Comment:
Very dull and rude in my opinion. He gives off this vibe that makes him very unapproachable to the point where you would want to keep the question you have to yourself. He would grill you in front of the class as he finds this funny. It was hard to watch as sometimes he would actually hurt peoples feelings. Show up and do your work and you'll pass.

He was really rude sometimes to students who would ask certain questions. Harsh grader and would make up requirements off the top of his head, and unclear of what he really wanted in his essay assignments. He didn't care about the students and constantly bashed RVC and the students that go here. Would not take him ever again for anything

Pink has a strange sense of humor. His class was dull and not always informative. I found him to be unapproachable. However, he is not that hard of a grader and the class wasn't too hard.

Dr. Pink seems unapproachable, but it's really just his dry sense of humor. He tries to scare some students off but if you stick it out and follow instructions you'll learn to love him. Don't take him if you can't take criticism, but know his feedback is just to ensure you're on the right path. As long as you are punctual you'll do fine

Overall Dr. Pink is a pretty funny man, especially if you enjoy dry humor, and is very nice. However you don't learn very much additional writing techniques in this class. He mostly centers on the development of personal interpretations of text. But if you are seriously wanting help in HOW to write, find another professor.

Dr. Pink is great! He is tough, but if you try your will do fine and go to him if you need help. He's also pretty funny.

He's a tough grader, but he takes your effort into account. If you prove to him that you are working hard, you'll get a good grade. Assignments are odd, because they deal more with your opinion than with facts, but as long as you have enough evidence to back up your opinion you will do fine. Very approachable, helpful, friendly and humorous.

Loved the class. It was reading short stories or plays, forming a thesis, then supporting it through the text. It wasn't mundane research on useless topics or analyzing ads. He seems unapproachable but he really isn't. Strange sense of humor but he's hilarious. I can't figure out why he isn't writing books of his own. He's very talented.

Dr. Pink isn't the most loved professor because he does make you work and participate, and he is a bit ocd about certain things. However, if you are serious about learning and being a great writer, take his class! He has taught me more and done more for me post-class than any other professor! You will not find a better literature teacher anywhere.

There's a lot of reading and writing, but it's mainly short stories and 3 plays, the writing is mainly drafts, and the research paper is only 5 pages. Class focuses on literature rather than social issues. I thought Dr. Pink had a good sense of humor and made class interesting. I definitely recommend him!

Excellent professor! This professor was above and beyond expectations of community college demands: made you prove ideas with text. Incredible! At 1st: scared, then stood up for my ideas and found I impressed him! Asked for last minute recommendation and received it when others dropped the ball. Available to students, expects critical thoughts

He's a good guy and has a great idea for the class, but he doesn't always pull it off well. His grading style means that he doesn't really look at your paper until the final draft, which is annoying because he's a very hard and picky grader. If you talk to him about your paper outside of class, though, he's a great help. Hilarious.

Knows a lot about the art of writing an analytical paper. Not a very hard grader, but expects effort and analysis. Dry humor, a little monotonous. Gets a bad wrap, but not a bad guy. Very knowledgeable.

Come to class...turn your work in when it's due. That is all you have to do. As for questions in class...maybe he has heard all your dumb questions before and is tired of them - or mabye he is teaching you to stand on your own two feet.

Worst teacher. So boring. Doesnt explain assignments at all so you have no clue what you are writing about. And then most papers are your own interpretation and he grades the way he sees it, which incase he forgot the paper was on our interpretation not his.

If you want to learn to write well, he's the teacher to take. If you want an easy A, look elsewhere. He is challenging, but he's also thought-provoking. He is a very experienced reader -- he picks wonderful material to read in all his classes. He is eccentric and a loner, but if you share those qualities and you show persistence, he will like you.

Dr. Pink needs to be clear on what he wants us to write. We should be doing more than just three essays a semester. His teaching techniques are not helpful.
