Doc was really boring early in the morning, he would often take half the class to explain common sense things (i.e. the process of borrowing and lending props from other people. you should NEVER reupholster a chair if it's not yours!). Easy tests, but class is time consuming for non-majors.

Doc is a good guy, but if you are TV-R..be careful in this class. He knows EVERYTHING and kind of expects you to know it also. Good for theatre kids, not so much with TV-R. Would love to take him for a different class.

if you have any technical theatre experience you will be fighting to stay awake in this class. don't buy the book, just listen in class and use the online helpsheets. midterm took me 15 min final took 20. both easy and only grades besides attendance

I love Doc, he's such a cool man, but his class is way TOO easy; interesting material, but the lecture format is major naptime, and as far as not needing to buy the book, all that means is that I now have a $70 dollar paperweight... 'cause nobody told ME.

Easy A class. Good class to take if you want to learn the basics of the technical side of theatre. Lectures can get a bit long and tiresome to sit through, but he is very helpful and approachable.
