I wanted to go to her class. It was the highlight of many of my days. She's makes the class so much fun. She really enjoys what she does. Just follow her feedback on the material she gives back and you'll have no problems in the class. I would take her again if she taught any other classes I needed. TAKE HER!

Professor Newcomer is fantastic! she is there for you and want you to succeed. I liked how open the class was and how she made every class assignment fun. It s not easy speaking in front of others but by the end of this class it will be no problem. I would take any class she teaches. A real jewel of a person and one of a kind professor.

Professor Newcomer is a teacher that I will not forget. She genuinely enjoys teaching and creates a fun class environment in which students carry out discussions and get to know one another. Material is basic and self-evident but she does a great job at making it more interesting and tying in everyday examples. Definitely the comm teacher to take!

I have never enjoyed a class as much as i enjoyed this class. I actually wanted to go to class. Everyone interacted with each other and the professor was always there to help. She would give you a hand when ever you needed it no questions asked.

Everyone has to take this class, so don't take it with anyone except her. She is by far the best professor I've had an experience with.She is so genuinely nice, great sense of humor, she cares about her students, and she makes public speaking not so terrifying.

She is very nice and has a great sense of humor. I don't understand one of the previous comments because she likes everyone. She does not show bias at all, she treats everyone equal. We had one test in our class at HACC York. The major speeches are at the end of the semester really close together though.

She teaches at Hacc as well. Best teacher ever! Just follow the guidelines for the speeches. You have to do an informative,demonstration, persuasive and a partner speech. I did not want to take this class, but she really helps you with all the little exercises before you actually have to do speech. Take her!

Jody is AMAZING. Her class is not easy, so you have to pay attention. No one loves public speaking, but she def loosens you up a bit. VERY helpful,VERY friendly, sweet and understanding. Study your study guides before tests. Ask her questions. Final exam is a skit you have to perform w/ a group..doesn't get much better than that. She is amazing :)

SOO AWESOME! Really nice lady, makes you feel so comfortable speaking! Even for shy folk she will help you open up! Ridicuously easy if you need an extra credit :)
