I'd have a very hard time recommending taking a class from DrSal. This man assigns papers but says himself he doesn't know what he wants them to be about then he'll tell you that you wrote about the wrong stuff. He also has a habit of waiting until the last second to tell you things regarding class assignments and papers Nice man, TERRIBLE TEACHER

DSal... nice guy,like everybodys favorite great uncle. But, he is not a great professor. If you like to sit and listen to someone talk to themselves for and hour and twenty minutes with random snickers every few minutes, then he's your guy. Otherwise... run.

He is a nice professor easy to talk to but....TECHNOLOGY STUPID he cant read a computer if you stick it in his face...He's also a difficult grader indeed he assigns a paper doesnt really explain it well and then gives you a C for his MOI classes hes good but other classes i dont recommend him hes not always clear with topics but tries.

Historical Methods is the hardest class I've taken yet, and Professor Salvaterra was not very helpful. He had a hard time describing what he was looking for in the final paper and this really hurt my grade. I know way too many people who have had to retake this class and the teacher is clearly to blame.

Dr. Salvaterra is a great guy! He is extreemly frendly, and is also very caring. He does, however, need to work on not getting off topic. Overall though he is fairly easy, and a great person to talk to.

Had him for "Torn Between Two Worlds." When I asked him why Catherine of Genoa was supposed to be a good example of Sacramentality, he couldn't really give a straight answer. (Catherine committed suicide by not eating.) I felt he didn't really make sure arguments. He is pompous and didn't really hold other people's differing opinions very high.

I had him for the class Torn Between Two Worlds, and just thought that he was basically saying that the Catholic religion was the only "real" religion, and that everyone that wasn't catholic should convert. Thats the basic message that I got from him in this class, and I did not appreciate that even though I am catholic.

He was a great teacher. Sometimes you have to "get" his sense of humor. He was very interested in his students and extremely helpful. He might be a little tough once in a while, but sometimes that is the only way people will learn.
