Comment:

Dr. Allen is one of the most bizarre professors I've ever taken. It's clear that he understands what he's doing and is very intelligent and interesting, but that didn't translate well into helping the students understand the material. He also didn't make grading or curving clear. Definitely would not recommend.

This class was somewhat of an oddity. His lectures were interesting, of course, but the real material covered on tests came from the powerpoints and notes he posted on Blackboard. Not really sure how he decided grade ranges on tests either..

He is a professor with tenure who doesn't seem to care much about the class or how hard his tests are. He told us before 2 of our tests no one would make a hundred, and all of them were very hard, even with lots of studying. But he does curve and help if you ask. So, don't stress too much :)
