The class isn't too bad--some hard questions but it's curved so you really shouldn't get less than an A-. BUT Tobias is just a horrible prof, he lives in NYC and commutes here but still. He never responds to emails, takes forever to give papers/tests back, the slides are STRAIGHT off the book, the lectures are the most pointless I've seen at Cornel

Please don't take this class. He co teaches it so its so confusing and nobody ever knows whats going on. In addition, its not easy at all. Even if you study your ass off, he asks impossible multiple choice questions on teh stupidest things. At the beginning he said that everything is curved and then took it back later. Don't take this class!

This class has changed. The dept has place pressure on Tobias to make it harder, so don't think of it as an easy A class anymore. The average on the 1st prelim was -18 out of 82, and that's with 3 points extracredit factored in. Not too high for an easy A class I would have to say.
