John Dreher you either hate or love. I personally found him very disrespectful and through conversations with others I am not alone. Cares only for his own opinions and are not looking to learn anything new. A legend that has seen better days. Lawrence will be better off when he retires.

Dreher is probably the single most influential and entertaining profs I've ever had. He sharpened my critical thinking skills and challenged me to make my ideas clear and distinct. He will teach you the art of applying the pragmatic maxim. AND he's HILARIOUS! Best prof in the humanities at LU. Hands down.

Accent and in-your-face attitude remind me of the best type of old guys that like to sit on park benches. Has high respect for all students in his classes.

Very enthused and talkative. Tends to talk over students, but is equally open to being talked over by anyone who can stand up to him. A great professor to have if you're up for an hour of (sometimes hilarious) arguing every day.

doesnt really listen to students always. high energy and entertaining, many students love him but he doesnt really want you to think too much on your own- will brow beat you down sometimes instead of really engaging with your ideas.

Really good at playing devil's advocate, but doesn't listen to his students. Not very helpful outside of class. Stubborn and talks WAY too much. Doesn't let you get a word in. Doesn't actually read students papers.
