I loathed the textbook, it was dry and boring to read but Dr. Barlows assignments were interesting and informative. Allows make up on just about assignment or test if you have proper excuse such as sickness or death in the family. Sends messages to check up on you during the semester. His class busts a lot political myths. Amazing professor.

Comment:

Calls you out on mistakes for no reason and he'll really make sure that you know. He also forgets about most of the content that he covers, or says something that goes against the textbook or content. You'll be right about something, then he'll deny it without reason. He's careless and gives you something to read while talking and extending class.

Doctor Barlow is one of the best teachers I've had. Dr. Barlow is a great professor. I am no History buff, but I found this class to be very interesting. He knows his stuff! Laziness is not acceptable, you must read the chapters and study. At times directions can be confusing, however, it is important to read ALL directions for assignments thoroughly before asking questions.

Dr. Barlow's History 109 class is tough! You must be dedicated weekly to his class in order to pass this course. He is very helpful if you encounter any problems. He replies to your emails promptly. Expect quizzes weekly and to read the entire textbook. However, you will learn in this class and it is worth taking. If you work hard you will pass. (:

Worst class Ive ever had. Im a straight A student, and I couldnt make heads or tails in this class. If you even looked away from him for a second, he would demand to know why you werent memorizing his face and how dare you look at the clock. I had an awful time in this class. He made a boring subject torture.

Overall excellent teacher if you are a willing to work student. If you are a lazy party type student, you don't need the big boy classes. This man is a PROFESSIONAL. HE DON"T GIVE GRADES! He forces students to LEARN. Is that not what we are supposed to be doing? TOO many whinny butts want grades for NO work. Must be our LIBERAL society at work.

This man is an all out ass. He believe's he is the only class there is. In his online class the tests where hard. If it messed up he said to call tech support which was no help. There was a mess up one of his test and I had proof that it was not me but the program himself so he took the time from 15mins to 10. I would write more if I was able to!

Has this guy online, terrible!! Waited until after finals to grade papers that were do throughout the semester. Super slow grading, quizzes and tests were difficult considering his technique of using multiple answer questions.

this guy shows up late every day and holds the class over for the time he was late. he annoys the crap out of his students. he also thinks his class is the only class that matters in the whole college. also if you watch closely enough you'll notice his hair moves every time his eye brows moves. do not take him as a teacher

I've met some arrogant and condescending professors in my day, but this man takes the cake. He also fancies himself some sort of programmer (I'm taking an online course), so taking examns is a nightmare with virtually no willingness to resolve issues. And I'm seriously considering History as my major!
