Briggs has brought a lot of joy to my college career. I have taken 3 classes with him, and I enjoyed every single one. He does tend to use the same lecture material over, but its good to hear. I believe hea retiring this year or I would sign up for more classes with him.

Very great professor! Be honest with him and give him respect and that is how he will treat you in return. We had a few papers but they were 1 page and they were very open ended for our own experience for coaching. I'm very grateful to have him has a teacher!

Comment:

Took intro rock climbing with him, loved every second of it! I'm not very athletic in the first place but Briggs focuses on knot tying more than anything. Eight classes, you get out early often, and the final is 50 q's and your skills test is eight easy knots. Would definitely recommend because he gives great feedback to his students.

Don Briggs is definitely one of my favorite professors. Easy A is his class. He is hilarious and has a ton of funny/amazing stories. You will never get bored in his class. Great guy!

Don't know what this other student is talking about. Briggs listens to others opinion and his might be "gold" because he knows what he is doing. I learned a lot from him and really thought having my fellow students actively participate helped me learn even more. My advice to the other guy - go elsewhere.

Briggs is an old school teacher who thinks his opinion is gold. You can expect an easy A, but don't expect any really important information to be delivered. As a student in a 3rd class from him... he is a joke and I am pissed that we pay over $800 for this class and the "knowledge" we gain. His students teach the class to eachother...
