Dr. Clarke is an extremely intelligent man who obviously loves what he does, but you can't really understand a word he says. He's kind of a tough grader when it comes to labs. His diction is extremely unclear and he can be a bit intimidating. I would not recommend taking him, but if you get placed in his class it's not the end of the world!

i agree, he's pretty useless. but you can't blame him for the quizzes, he doesn't make those. and hey, he's so senile that sometimes he makes mistakes on grading quizzes that will work in your favor. there's worse, try that herskovitz guy. he sucks.

Pretty hard to understand - very quiet and has an accent. Class is pretty pointless as you don't really learn that much. Don't buy the textbook - total waste of money. Tests are impossibly hard. Prof. Clarke is a very nice guy who definitely knows his stuff; he's just not a very good teacher.

hard to understand. uses old tests and same questions but changes the answers. textbook is pretty useless as are notes. just learn the tests he gives you and understand the material on there. labs are fine. and his attendence policy is lax. sign in your pals cause he wouldnt know if you were there or not.

Wow is all I have to say... how the hell does he still teach at fordham when he shows up late to lab lecture everyday and when shoja asks him where he has been and tells him to do the lecture next time Clarke laughs in his face. Yeah, dont take him... he mumbles, and literally does NOTHING except crossword puzzles.
