I took ART 111 bc I enjoy doing art even tho I knew I wasnt the best at it. Dr. Furst was a likeable guy but he graded everything very hard if you are not a good artist. I turned in every assignment and got a C+.. For some perspective I spent more time on homework for this intro to ART class than I did in my 3 300 level MATH major courses......

It's refreshing to see an art professor who is extremely well versed in his subject and approaches it without a trace of cynicism. Very helpful and patient, especially given the difficult nature of the subject. Fantastic instructor.

Professor Furst rocks! He's a goofy guy (corny jokes!) but he tries really hard to make the class fun. Got out of class early a handful of times throughout the semester. You have to pay $80 for the art kit, but you use all of it and it's good stuff. Attendance is mandatory, he takes off points at the end of the semester if you missed.
