The value of a mechanical engineering degree from UT Tyler will go down the day he retires. That being said, his classes are horribly difficult, and I can't speak accurately yet of their true value to an engineer, but that review saying something about being over the Indian Ocean with nothing more than a spreadsheet and a pencil comes to mind.....

Dr. Goddard is a brilliant man in all regards. His classes are very demanding and nearly impossible to get an A. On the other hand, a B is extremely attainable as long as you put forth effort and do the work needed. Nevertheless, I am glad to be through with taking his classes. I wish you the best.

this man is a genious. although hard, you learn so much in his class. requires more work than any other teacher but if you do the work almost gauranteed to pass. his class is actually interesting bc of how goofy he is. Id take him over dr. mountain anyday. oh and excel...just know that if something can be done in life it can also be done in excel.

Everyone laughs at you when you say you are in his class if that tells you anything. But they say if you can survive Goddard everything else is easy. I'm glad I'm electrical instead of mechanical.

Great preparation for the people who are to be fated with being stuck over the Indian Ocean with nothing but an Excel spreadsheet and pencil. If you are then being forced to calculate the combined hoop stresses on the soda can as the stewar
