Overall nice guy and not as bad as I initially thought at the beginning of the semester. Just give him a chance. We have 2 exams, 2 essays, and 4 pop quizzes that were easy as long as you read and went to class. I wouldn't recommend this if you don't like to read, don't like economics or geography.

Basically GEO 171 is the worst course you could possibly take. The grading in this class is absolutely ridiculous. I got help from tutors, advisors, other professors, and him, and still got CsDs on my papers. The TAs are too afraid to say anything to him. Save yourself and DO NOT take this class.

He goes off topic in his lectures, going off about personal experiences, that won't matter for tests. He doesn't go deep into the readings, even though they are severely important for the exams, and essays. His grading is not consistent. If you don't agree with his point of view in some papers, you won't get a good grade. Go to his office hours!!

Mitchell is a really good guy that tries to keep you really interested in the topics. Going to class makes the class a lot easier as he bases a lot of the grade on attendance. Take his courses, you will leanr something and should get a good grade.

Mitchell is full of energy. He speaks very fast and has a million answers to every question. There is no definate answer. His mid-term is easy if you know basic concepts. The papers aren't hard. You go over topics in recitation and they are graded easy. Not hard to get an A.
