Donald Peterson is such a nice old man. His class isn't the most exciting and can drag, and he occasionally gets off topic about some trip he went on. His tests are pretty hard because they are almost all 100 questions, and over half is true or false. However, attendance is a huge part of your grade, so make sure to attend class!

I personally enjoyed this professor. I have heard bad things but overall he is a great professor. He has been around awhile so he knows his stuff. Lectures can be long and boring. Only 4 tests, but your attendance will be equal to the weight of a 5th test, so go to class! He curves tests so the student with the highest test grade gets an A+

Funny guy, not too tough of a grader but lecture heavy. Didn't use the textbook, but oh well.

Donald D Peterson is great! He is very funny and has really interesting stories. However, his whole class is lectures, and if you don't write notes about almost everything, you'll miss some questions on tests. To be honest he is boring when talking about class and voice lulls you to sleep. But this is an LAC so it's an easy A. Little homework.

This professors voice is so monotone that I fell asleep in multiple lectures. For the tests study notes and be ready for random questions.

He is a GREAT person and super funny guy. But his lectures are long and boring. Get ready to read in order to get any points correct on the tests. Test are extremely long/ all multiple choice, but over 100 questions and it has nothing to do with what he talked about, knowing he mostly talked about his trips over seas and cars. Very hard class.

His lectures contain a lot of information. You'll get a decent grade without the book, but you'll get a B or above if you buy the book and read. You get points for coming to class. He knows his stuff but doesn't "dumb down" his exams for college intellect.

Gives credit for attendance, but if you miss and talk to him, he'll give your points back. Great curve on tests, he wants everyone to pass. Don't bother with the textbook for human geography, take notes during lectures. All tests are mc/true false, no essays. Some take home assignments, but super simple. Rambles a lot, cuts class short often.

One of my favorite professors. I love that he incorporated student's lives as well as his own into the lectures. Most classes are all interesting lectures. 4-5 assignments in the semester, takes less than 20 min to complete. The tests are basically the lectures he gives. Review notes 1/2 times before and easy A/B! Large curve on tests will help!

He is funny old guy. He tells stories that have nothing to do with the lectures though. The four tests and attendance were the only grades in class. He says you don't need to read the book, but if you want to do well on the test I would read the book. Most the questions on the test are not from his lectures. He also talks the entire class.

You have to come to class. But the lecture have nothing to do with his test. The shortest test I had in this class was 100 questions! He is a really nice guy and tells stories a lot during class.

He liked to tell stories most of the time and his lectures rarely had anything to do with the tests. He does give out study guides before the tests and they normally have most of the answers on them for the test! I didn't open my book once, you really don't need it.

He cares a lot about the students, but his lectures do not really pertain to the course information. He spends a lot of time talking about himself and his adventures. The exams rarely have anything from lecture or notes on them, but he has a nice curve so it is not too hard to get a good grade. Overall, the course was pretty easy to pass.

Took Human Geography with Donald and it wasn't that stellar... Lectures were long and sometimes didn't make any sense. The tests are hard with not a ton of information from the lectures on them. Gives credit for attendance and assignments. He's really funny and makes lectures interesting sometimes. I would take this class again.

He's an amazing professor & really knows his materials. Will always involve students based on their hometown if relevant to lecture. All you do the whole class period is take notes. 4 tests, multiple choice & a lot of true and false. Just go to class & take notes, you should get a high B or A.

He is a hilarious guy. He rambles a little bit and he loves to tell stories that are usually interesting. There are only like 4 tests and there is no final. He lets class out early most days ("when I'm done, I'm done"). He takes attendance and gives points for it, but missing class won't be detrimental for your grade.

Donald is the best professor at UNI hands down. He is a great man as well as professor. I loved taking his class and not only learned a lot about Human Geography, but life as well. I would love to just sit and talk with this man for hours. He has so much knowledge about life and has experienced so many things it's unreal.

the notes don't really help on the tests all that much. class is boring but he takes your attendance points and puts them towards your tests so go to class. but if you don't go to class, make up an excuse and he will still give you the points. tests are super long so if you want to do well, read the book. does like to go off topic during lectures.
