Prof Silberger is one of those professors that you wont appreciate until you leave campus. He was always available for extra help and sincerly interested in his students academic success. If you are looking for an easy A take someone else, if you want to work hard and learn mathematics, take his class, and play checkers with him in JFT.

This is the professor you want to take for Abstract Algebra. Hey enjoys the material. Make sure you do not have a class during his office hours. He is awesome to work with, and will teach you everything. You actually have to apply yourself to this course- so if you are looking for an easy way out- take Hayes.

Never ever take this teacher. WORST TEACHER EVER! Does not explain. doesn't even give notes. He just does examples from the back of the chapter and we skiped like 3 chapters (in a row)to finish the book in time.

Silberger is a genius. The man knows his math. However, he tends to teach you more than what you really need to pass the course.People redicule him for just proving the theories, but you can always stop him and ask for further explination.

Refuses to teach Calc II, although the exams were pretty easy because of this. Buy a Calc book and do some problems, get an A - do not rely on his nonexistent notes. Strong advocate of legalizing marijuana, among other things.
