Professor Weber really loves to talk. A LOT. Which means the class doesn't get tohave to talk much. However, he is AMAZING at improving writing skills, and is very helpful in one-on-one conferences. Great guy who cares a lot about student improvement and success.

I loved Donald Weber. My writing skills weren't the best but he always made sure to give good feedback it really did help. He's extremely intelligent and genuinely knows what he's talking about. Encouraging and supportive. I would advise everyone to take a class with him

Initially I viewed his class as a way to complete the 1700-1900 requirement, but by the end of the course I was hooked on American Lit! He's enthusiastic to the point of mania. He allows a lot of latitude with his essay assignments, so you can do creative writing responses rather than the regular analysis. Quirky, irreverent, and entertaining!

Dr. Weber is an amazing professor. He is an extremely tough and picky grader. I think that his tough grading was what made me improve as a writer. He gives a lot of opportunities to discuss essays during office hours and although its difficult to get an A, if you put effort and time into it getting a good grade is achievable.

Prof Weber is one of the best prof I have had at Mount Holyoke. You will have to work hard in his class, there is a lot of writing, but what you will gain is worth it. If you can, take a class with him. I'm hoping to take another class with him next semester.

Well I think Weber class was a lot of fun and I loved class discussions, we all got really into to them and he was right there with us. He is very supportive and loves his job and the lit. He was encouraging and helpful. The class moved too quickly at first but it's worth it. I don't know where the nay sayers are coming from!

was slightly traumatic...but I'm a much better writer for it. I second going to his office hours, he's one of those professors that has a genuine interest in your life. His classes are full of passionate discussion and loud argruments. If you want a class where people meekly raise their hand and wait their turn to talk..this is not your prof.

I'm going to start this by saying I'm a bit biased--he's my adviser and I adore him. That being said: How can you NOT love this man? He seems disorginzed, I'll grant, but he knows where everything is in his office...everything. As for him being an easy grader, I'm not sure what course you were taking, but the ENG 200 course I took with him(cont)

He seems a bit intimidating at first - after reading the text, he'll pose several questions - just jump in and start talking. He might 'shoot down' your opinion at first, but if you rebutle it, he'll be impressed. If you apply his blunt advice to your papers, you'll do just fine. He's the prof you need if you want to improve your writing.

Weber is a very nice guy, but he is extremely disorganized and scattered during class. I'm sure his intelligence surpasses many, but his teaching style and grading is lackluster.

this was the best class I've had at MHC, by far. the discussions were invoking and passionate, and he really helped one on one too. but, he'll expect a lot from you and challenge your writing style so keep that in mind. he's also just brilliant. one of the amazing people i'm glad to have met at MHC.

I began the year disliking DWeber. My advice is get to know him during office hours - he is a completely different person-he connects better with students one on one. After meeting with him, I felt that he has a sincere interest in helping his students both with his class and with their MHC career.

Prof. Weber is always so enthusiastic about his subjects that it is infectious. The only thing is that he is a little intimidating at first and in his excitement is not as clear as one would like him to be. In his office, he is very helpful, encouraging and inspiring. My class with him is the best I
