Excellent teacher who REALLY knows his stuff and has a genuine passion for teaching. This class should be WI because everything is essay based. He actually made the material very interesting and has a good sense of humor. To do well: go to class, study a little each night, and really make sure you KNOW the material. He is always there for help!

Dr. Young is easily one of the best profs. in the biology department. However, this is not a bio class for babies (It is a 300 level class after all), and if you're in the honors section, be ready for essay-only tests. But, the hand cramps are totally worth it; I'm frequently checking the school's site hoping he'll teach something else I can take.

Great teacher but you must study and go to class to do well on his tests. I was not at all interested in ecology yet he made it interesting and relevant.
