Great teacher, very smart, manageable work load and moderately challenging tests. He really tries to teach and not just get through material. Highly recommended. Very smart guy, also.

Really good professor and good guy overall. He's a stickler for class rules, don't talk in class... Very hard tests and he is not very lenient with partial credit (if you say the same thing but in different words he marks it as wrong) so yes it is hard but you will learn a lot.

The material is interesting and he knows his stuff. His teaching style is sometimes too slow and doesn't get much done in class. We also were forced to buy an online program to do homework. Overall he was very helpful and understanding.

He's a great guy, a little cooky, and easy to listen to. But his tests are hard and sometimes confusing. You have to work really hard to get a good grade in his classes.

Very difficult class. You need to do the work for it. The Aplia assignments don't teach you much and he relies on examples heavily. Overall very smart and you'll learn a lot but you can't slack or he'll take note and expect more from you in future discussions.

Probably the smartest professor at Gordon. Very willing to meet after class or during office hours to work through questions. Definitely not an 'easy' professor, you have to learn the material and be able to apply it. Good grading scale (not curve).

Interesting as a lecturer but was very closed to alternative views...and worse, didn't even want to discuss them - which is what I thought was the whole goal of the educational process.

Professor Smith is probably related to Adam Smith. Actually, I'm convinced he is. How else would he know as much as he does and assume it's not the obvious?

I don't know what people are thinking when you say he isn't open to other viewpoints. In Econ Devl he is very open to other viewpoints. Maybe you a closed-minded fair trade coffee hippie. He's a brilliant man.

Although he knows what he's teaching about; he's also dry.To say he is Gordon's best describes the school exactly. He is close minded to student ideas and to other people's thoughts about religion (especially those who say they're not religious like me).
