Mrs. King is the heart and soul of the Lipscomb music department. She is every student's go-to and cares more about her students and job than anyone possibly could. This woman has been there for me through it all. Some people don't like her because she actually makes you earn your grade, but ya know, we kind of actually are in college so makes sens

Mrs. King is very helpful. Whenever I had extra questions, her office was open to help me and coach me. She also provided extra students who already knew the subject to tutor as well. Overall a great teacher.

There is a difference between making a challenging class and a class where the teacher obviously wants you to fail. She gives you irrelevant study guides and puts tons of things on the test that were never mentioned in class, and she does not go by or use the textbook at all so you cant look back for references. Too hard for a music gen ed class.

She tries to be personable but it maybe hard for a lecture style class. She seems to know what she's talking about and what is going on in the musical world today. The class can easly open you up to new music styles if you let it. Beware of her oddities (rolling eyes, rist flip, monotonic high pitched voice) and a bit of hoop jumping.

Great Professor. The material can be rather boring some days and interesting on other days. Dr. King is very well versed in the curriculum and has a firm grasp on how and what to teach for this course. Very helpful, but expects responsibility from each student. Stick to the syllabus. Recommended.

She's very helpful and genuinely wants you to make it through. Class Piano was wretched for me, but it would have been so much worse had she not been so nice. If you work hard for her, you'll turn out okay. Just don't seem like you don't care. I think I accidentally gave off that impression and it didn't bode too well for me. :-(
