Comment:

Participation matters. It is not enough to watch DVDs or Netflix. It helps to be able to write. I respect her Ph.d from Cal as I am an old blue too! Nevertheless, it sure is easier than English 1A , 1B or god forbid you need to take 1C Critical Thinking!!! So visit her office and learn what she wants.

I took this course and I was really excited to learn more about theater. This professor does give out homework and is pretty lenient with turning it in. One con, she is an English major and will correct your grammar in all your papers. She will also correct you when you speak. Expect a lot of red ink when your paper is returned.

Super nice instructor! There were 14 writing assignments. Go to class every week, watch a film and write about it at home or stay for the discussion. The final and midterm are optional if you need the extra pts. Best part is that you can choose which class you want to attend for the week. Also, you HAVE to be at Eng1A level writing.

This is the best teacher I've taken at SJCC. She has several options for grading, depending on her student's needs. She is very considerate and helpful. I loved her class and learned so much; it improved my writing skills and my confidence on writing as well. Her class is a "must take" at SJCC.

Went in thinking I was going to have a kick back class, found out she was an English Major so you better know how to write or get help from the read/write center.She expects you to use lots of terms from her class in all your papers, but you can watch movies at home and turn in papers, you don't even have to show up for class.I still got an A.

She's a good teacher. Her beginning acting was easy. Just show up and participate and you will pass the class. She does get annoyed sometimes if you mess up during a scene but she's ok. The only weird thing was that we had to do those morning stretches, but the clas was alot of fun and no homework!!!!!!
