Comment:

Real analysis is a hard class in general and she gives the hardest proofs for homework. Hints are available only if you go to office hours. She's sarcastic which makes her seem uncaring. Average grader for homework but tough on tests. Average teacher overall.

Comment:

She was only halfway helpful in office hours; she really only gave vague hints for how to start a problem but didn't help much when I was confused. Class lectures were very average; she has sloppy notation and wasn't any better at explaining things than the textbook. The homework took a while and was graded pretty harshly, as were the exams.

Comment:

Dr. Molinek is a sweet person. She's a little awkward at times, but endearing. She's fairly straight-forward, a very fair grader, and the class is fairly easy. Concepts learned in class are thoroughly taught, but also covered in the book. I'd recommend for someone who is trying to get their Mathematical & Quantitative Thought credit.

She was average in Diff Eq, but then when I had her again for Real, she was even worse. In office hours she'll give you little hints but doesn't help too much. Class lectures are mediocre; she repeats the textbook using vague and confusing language. She is a harsh grader and doesn't do much to support students. I would probably not recommend.

Not a good or bad teacher, just extremely average. Office hours are moderately helpful, but she is reluctant to give away the answer. Class lectures are hit-or-miss; you really only get value out of them if you read the material ahead of time. The tests aren't very hard if you study, and she drops the 3 lowest homework grades. Reasonably nice lady.

The notes she gave were very unclear. She makes material that should be straightforward very difficult to understand. If you were bad a pre-calc. do NOT take this class, you'd be better off taking Calc. However, she was helpful and sweet during office hours.

Molinek is a friendly lady with a sweet personality. 4 (3.5) for helpfulness because she answers questions in office hours but doesn't always respond well to emails. 3 for clarity because she tries to clarify the textbook but still makes you read and learn the material yourself. Homework is excessive and graded harshly. The tests are challenging.

She is a wonderful lady but she neglects to teach what you need for homework in class. Must reread the textbook to understand the lecture and homework is incredibly long. Love the material but the class and expectations are excessive.

Class was not really helpful and she gets incredibly off topic. Most classes are spent covering the material she forgot to cover in the previous class. The textbook is useless but required for the homework which is long and graded harshly. Tests are easy though so that's a plus.

Office hours are abundant and helpful but are offered at inconvenient times, like 9am instead of 2pm. She is fairly good at explaining things in class but doesn't teach you as much as she expects you to learn from the textbook. Hard exams but not unreasonable. Homework is good practice but is excessive and graded harshly. Overall, not too bad.

Molinek is a pretty friendly lady with an approachable personality. She is pretty clear in class but you do most of your learning by reading the textbook. Homework is excessively long and is graded harshly. She is quite helpful in office hours and makes herself available. Tests are reasonable but not easy. Hard to get an A but not hard to get a B.

You have to go to class because you turn in your homework every day for a grade. Tests are part in class and part take home. Some quizzes are dropped. The class is hard though. Lots of time on homework. You can go see her and she'll help you but it just takes a lot of time. Class gets very boring

Molinek is a good teacher who is passionate about math. She sometimes takes a relaxed approach when teaching, but is fair nonetheless. I liked taking her Calc 2 class and if you do the hw and ask questions you will do well

DM is funny and actually insane. Her class is very fast paced, but you have a good time in her class and she always makes herself available for help. Definitely possible to get an A, just requires some work. Tests are pretty hard.
