Unbeleiveable professor, he is great, read the book and do the problems, come to class and listen to him lecture as a supplement. He will go in depth and discuss important things from all sorts of sources, he does not read the textbook to you. He is truly a old fashioned professional.

Dr. Dalton is tough, but that's because he expects you to master the material. This course was geared at preprofessionals, so he wants to be sure you're prepared for med/vet/pharm school, etc. GO TO RECITATION, ASK QUESTIONS, AND DO ALL OF THE PROBLEMS IN THE BOOK. BUY THE SOLUTION MANUAL. Do that, and you'll be fine. Don't expect to just get an A

excellent instructor. the syllabus says to read the textbook in red ink, he assumes you read it, in class he explains important concepts which are difficult to understand.he also has great experience due to his age, he also goes off topic onto applications to life, it's very interesting to know about and hes down to earth. Simplifies organic 4 u.

Dalton's (pre-professional) class makes BIO 1111 look like a joke. He's hard to follow and goes off topic a lot. Wrote his own final (no ACS) and it was top 2 for most difficult exam I've taken at Temple. Makes up bizarre question that no amount of book problems or lecture notes can prepare you for. Don't take him for orgo. Save your GPA.

this class was ridiculous. he hardly taught us anything. the first test wasn't too bad but the rest were IMPOSSIBLE. i think your grade depends on what you got on the first test because i have no idea how he gave out grades for this class. DONT TAKE HIM.

Nice guy but his lectures consist of him scribbling molecules and reactions on an overhead projector without explaining much. Use his photon website for most of your studying. See his past exams for what to expect. Get an A on Test 1 at all costs! Test 1 is the easiest, Test 2 was impossible, the class average was a 40%, final also very difficult.

Dalton is the WORST professor. He's a genius but he doesn't know how to teach at all. His lectures are confusing, sometimes he talks about stuff that's not even in the book, learned everything in recitation. His exams are almost impossible to pass. If you don't know how to teach yourself, your better off taking someone else.

For Chem of wine, Dalton was difficult to follow in lecture and his tests were extremely challenging. However, he grades very fairly. If you show up to class and do your labs, you can get an A regardless of your test scores.

David Dalton is an AMAZING teacher. He is extremely brilliant and a hilarious old man. The class isn't as hard as everyone complains about. He does teach material that is a little more advanced than common knowledge of chemistry, but read the book and you'll be fine. He wants you to go beyond the surface of his lectures, if you do, you'll get an A.

DO NOT TAKE CHEM OF WINE. Dalton is the man, but this course should not be a Gen Ed. He starts off simple in his lectures, but as the lecture continues he goes off on these rants... taking simple chemistry to some very advanced levels. Chemistry majors in our class cannot even keep up because he just goes above and beyond with the material.

Dr. Dalton is an amazing professor. He is very good at lecturing on organic chemistry. However, asking questions in class is counter-productive. Ask questions outside of class, because he will waste lecture time and not answer your question clearly. His exams make you think about the small ideas behind the concepts. Would recommend if you truel

Dr. Dalton is one of the nicest professors that I have ever had. He sincerely cares about each and every student in his class. He gets stressed when he feels the class is struggling. He gives very hard exams, but assures the class that our final grade will reflect the work we did in the class. I have felt so honored to have experienced his teac

He is very original. Exams were quite unusual, but not too bad. Reading the book would be enough to do well on the exams. Final was hard in a way that it was focused on the least expected topics that you would not pay attention while studying and would not remember. Very approachable professor with a nice personality. I would probably take him agai

I had Dalton for Honors Orgo 1. He is by far the greatest professor I have ever had. He is very challanging but worth all of the work. You learn an enormous amount if you are willing to put the time in. He gives you the grade you deserve, not just what the numbers say. See him outside of class to understand how genious he is. He favors hard workers

His tests aren't too bad but he's very unfair and definitely favors certain students. I know for sure that this one girl (who was one of the few students who had lunch with him) scored lower than I did in all the tests but I found out that she received an A for the course and I got a B.
