Well, the Prof Nelson you described is nothing like the Prof Nelson in 2014. She is passionate about her subject, dedicated to us students, and treats us like family. She is amazingly supportive, full of ideas, and genuinely believes in the methodology she created. My classroom has been transformed into a wonderful learning place with DBL.

RUN AWAY AND DON'T LOOK BACK!This prof is disorganized. She changes her instruction on a weekly basis. Take good notes because she will tell you differently week to week. I would never have taken this masters program if I could have seen the future. Writing my Thesis was a monster because her comments were illegible & conflicting with each draft.

This class is like trying shoot the basketball into the hoop at the carnival. The more you try, the more you fail. You think the ball is going in and it never does. That is what your work will be in this class. You will try and try and your work will NEVER be correct. This is the most frustrating thing I've ever done in my life. Do not rec.

Courses in DBL have been a major disappointment. No theory no logic to the courses. Very repetitive and fall way short of what was promised. TERRIBLE. As a teacher, I have not learned anything of any value to implement into my teaching. As a graduate student, I have acquired no useful knowledge nor better understanding of anything.

AVOID NELSON'S CLASSES. SHE IS A GREAT SALESPERSON. THE PROGRAM THAT HER FLYERS SAY WILL TAKE LESS THAN 2 YEARS TO COMPLETE IS COMPLETELY FALSE. I HAVE NOT MET ANYONE WHO TOOK LESS THAN 2 YEARS. SHE IS UNABLE TO EXPLAIN HER TOPICS AND CHANGES HER MIND FROM WEEK TO WEEK AND THEN DENIES THAT.
