I've had three classes with him so far and it's been great. A man of humor and respect. No matter what don't skip his classes. Idk why i've seen bad reviews about this prof but all i can say is he is one of the most fair teachers in the university. Also, don't bother joining his classes if you're going to be stuck on your cellphone.

I really liked Doug as a person. However I found his projects oddly timed, and rather confusing, the way he displays what you will be marked in for certain projects is hectic and all over the place. His lectures were mostly interesting, and his quiz's (midterms) were okay (he tells you exactly what it will be on - making studying straight forward.

Doug is my fave prof in the tourism department. As long as you engage yourself in the class discussions you'll be on his good side. Don't sit at the back of the room and don't text during his class or he will publicly embarrass you. Otherwise he is a great prof and very helpful. His tests and assignments are easy. His lectures are always interesting and interactive. Great guy!

i really was not into his teaching style, alot of days he'd come in and be cheerful, and others he'd be throwing things at students to get there attention. and his grading system was ridiculous! if he was mad or angry prior to marking papers, you were screwed. and also I hated the fact that he plays favorites, all the time!
