Dr. Harris is by far one of my favorite professors at Loyola. His lectures can be slightly dull at times but nonetheless he is very informative and wants his students to take away something more than just memorizing things for exams. The readings are easy and are extremely helpful with writing the papers. He truly cares about his students.

Dr. Harris is my favorite professor that i had this year. He is helpful and intelligent and his enthusiasm is infectious. There is a good amount of reading in this class and it really does benefit to do so, but it wont break your grade to not do so. Really a great teacher who's class i consistently looked forward to.

I was not at all interested in politics when I signed up for this class, but Harris made it interesting. He was a very cool guy, and eventhough the books and his lectures were confusing at times, the tests were pretty easy overall. There was also one paper he assigned that he didn't grade too harshly. You could definitely get by without reading

such a nice man. extremely funny and entertaining. i skipped basically half the classes because they were so early and still ended up with a b+. also, he gave me an extension on my paper. kinda hard to get an A but pretty easy to pull off a b+/a-. definitely recommended him!

Awesome teacher. Hilarious, intelligent, friendly, understanding and insightful. Very knowledgable on Congress (knows almost everything about each member, actually.) Open to new thoughts. Fair on grading. A lot of reading, but he breaks it down during class, so you should take notes. My favorite class so far :)

Harris is a really great guy. He can take any topic and make it interesting. Not too serious either. He loves to throw in jokes here and there. Lot's of reading, but not too many assignments. He says that he's a harsh grader, but I think it's just to scare you. If I could take a class with him again, no doubt I would.

I had Harris for American Politics and he was so helpful and clear. I ended up using this information in my other classes. He explains what the book is trying to say better than the book does. His sweaters will have you smilling every time you see him. Take his class!!
