He was very inconsistent on what he wanted. He would give a brief and then next class when we would do critiques he would change what he wanted done and tell everyone to redo it. In the entire class of 20 or so students 1 kid got a B- and everyone else got Cs and worse.

Tough and can be a bit hard to comprehend, but once you learn how to "get" him, his advice is invaluable. He knows what he's talking about, and will push you to do great work of you let him.

Great teacher. Higgins begins where you are and moves you forward. He's a funny guy, that most people write off as hard to understand, but he's really just brilliant.

Hes been teaching the same type 1 class for years. I highly suggest that you take him. At many times he is vague, but it is only to see where you take the assignments in the beginning. He will push you and make you desire to take your art to another level. From what i observed, the people who disliked him were the ones who didnt want to work hard.

Good teacher but definately could have used some work on hygene and Emotional Intelligence issues. He tried to make an example out of me by throwing me out of class but the school made him appologise to me, because it wasn't warranted. He publically humiliated me but insisted on appologising in private, what does that tell you.

Higgins is the terminator. He's quirky and unexplainable, and he'll weed out the weak. If you are willing to be humbled, he's great. Kinda vague at first, but you just need to get used to his bizzare take on life.
