He was a truly amazing and unique professor. If you did not understand him, his classes weren't for you, but if you saw what it was he was working toward, he became the single best professor you could hope for.

Teaches to the test. Never have I done so little and gotten so high a grade. Very sarcastic, uses people in examples (sometimes funny, sometimes insulting). Not a discussion class. Almost entirely "sit there and listen"

He is consistently inconsistent. He cannot remember names, continually degrades people in his class, and cannot make one logical statement without rambling on and on about some random story. He is extremely understanding and will help if need be and I am aware that many enjoy his courses. Personally, I found myself wondering why I was even there.

Only one of the greatest men to walk the earth. The man could excrete magnificence. He's lived what he teaches and explains with perfect clarity. I'm often the subject of his ridicule, but only because he knows I'm capable of taking it. Few things brighten your day more than a nickname from Doug Huff. Don't leave GAC without a class with this man.

At first I didn't like him because he loves to make fun of people, but now I'm used to it. He is a good teacher, easy grader, tries to be funny. Will give you a "cheatsheet" of what you should study before the essay tests. One paper on your opinions.

Absolutely awesome GAC professor. Really loves what heat teaches and gets the students to like it too. Existentialism could so easily be a tough and complicated class, but it was great! Attendance is not required, but if you show up enough, it's an easy A. Kids who showed up about half the time or so got around B's.

He is so wonderful! His humor keeps me awake even at 8:30 in the morning. He is one of those people you truly respect. He is a very very scholarly, worldly and kind person. If you don't do anything else at Gustavus, take a class from him. You won't regret it!

One of my favorite professors on campus. You cannot graduate without taking one of this man's courses, or you haven't had the full Gustavus experience! Very knowledgeable, and transfers it well, has a passion for his work and is quite friendly with students. His tests are easy: write all you know. I've never got less than an A on them.

Huff is one of the best profs on campus! i took his class at 8 30 in the morning and he keeps you awake and laughing. He always has a joking attitude and he cares about his subject. He does a very nice job explaining the material, especially since the material is hard to understnad by yourself.
