Comment:

With limited options for the semester, I took the class online. It was a challenge for two main reasons: 1) he grades tough with the papers, and 2) he is very verbal when a student's opinion mismatches his. Every student is different, but I recommend meeting with him first to see if you'd like him or his course.

Dr. S knows what he wants and from day 1 he lets his class know that. He has a syllabus that outlines all of that because he wants everyone to know what he's grading on. While he is a tough grader if you do everything he tells you he's looking from you will pass the class. In class, he is funny and always making jokes.

Dr. S is definitely a tough grader, but he's also very friendly and will respond quickly when you email him. Very strict with due dates and will make you work for a good grade. As long as you keep on top of your assignments and do what's expected, you should be fine. Ask questions if needed, he always seems more than willing to help!

A very tough grader, not at all clear on what he wants. When you ask him what he wants done, he will tell you something, and then count you off for things he didn't tell you about. Very bad accident

He's a cool guy, he is just down to business. He takes the class very seriously, as you should too. Definitely do not procrastinate, because his work requires that you put your all into it in order to get a good grade. He grades tough, but just do as he clearly ask and you'll be fine. Also, take advantage of his office hours!

He will claim that he likes controversy, but if you pick the politically incorrect view he will dock you for everything it's worth. I chose a controversial topic that he suggested, and while I still had one or two seconds left, he docked me seven points for going over on time.

Dr. Schnoebelen is my favorite professor this semester. He's tough with his rules, but it isn't surprising. He explained from the very beginning what he expected and he stuck to it all semester. He's funny and very detailed in his lectures. Plus, any speeches we gave got great criticism. Very helpful. Always available for questions. A+

Had him for two classes and as director of my mock trial squad. High level knowledge and detailed syllabus. If you desire an A, you must work hard and at least be somewhat talented in Communications. Has strict methods and makes no exceptions such as late work. He is funny as a person is very entertaining. His class was a challenge but a thrill.

Very interesting professor. He's intelligent, quirky, and laughs at his own little insider jokes. He has the clearest syllabus on campus, which he will have you sign into contract. He'll conduct pop quizzes to ensure that you're reading. If your classmates are late he'll do a pop quiz. Be prepared for a large group project at the end of the course.

He will give you bad grades for simply having an opinion he doesn't agree with. If you're not a huge liberal be prepared to hide it or get an F. He thinks he is teaching the most important class in the universe- be prepared to do a TON of work-even for a stupid 100 level required class. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COSTS.

I loved Dr. S! I took his course first in a classroom, but had family issues and had to drop. In person he is funny, interesting, and really easy to get along with. He does make the course difficult, but is willing to help at any time. Constantly checks his email so an answer is received ASAP. Knows his stuff. Reason I am a Communication major!

Oh Jim! I've never had a class stress me out so much when it came to essay papers! I liked him a lot and he really pushed me to do good in his class. He is very honest and helpful. I never got anything better than a C on his essay papers but ended up with an A in his class. He offers extra credit a lot so take full advantage of it if you aren't a good test taker or easy writer! Has a good sense of humor and class isn't boring. You will learn A lot of useful information you can use later!

JIM is a very intelligent teacher who makes sure you do not miss class. Two students missed class to much and got kicked out three weeks before finals. Papers can be a little difficult, you just have to work hard on them. Exams are easy. he is sooo funny def would take this class, and more.
