Great guy but a terrible professor, take dynamics with anyone else. He doesn't "teach" as much as he does examples. Dynamics is a class that you need to understand the process very thoroughly, and Peters is terrible at doing anything other than examples. Exams are problems/scenarios never talked about in class, hence the importance of a process....

Just simply put, he has been, without doubt, the BEST teacher I have ever had at SDSU. He is extremely thorough, very friendly, and very willing to help. If only a fraction of teachers could be more like him, school wouldn't be so annoying at times. Don't take Dynamics from anyone else!!!

This guy is my favorite person in the engineering department simply because he is a great teacher and a good person. I could talk to this guy for hours, if you have any questions i suggest you go to his office, his tests are not easy though but if you study the problems and do some extra ones from the book, you will pass easily.

He is an outstanding teacher, plain and simple. Has an incredible knack for taking complicated problems and breaking them down so they seem easy. He is one of the most friendly and helpful teachers/people you will ever meet. Overall, my favorite teacher so far in college.

This guy deserves a raise!! He is the nicest teacher in the world and is so encouraging to all his students. Manages to make concepts seem a bit easier than most and will sit for an hour if need be to explain one problem, and confirms several times that you understand it. Don't take dynamics from anyone else!

One of best professors I have ever had. Does a wonderful job explaining relatively complex material and making it sound easy. Puts his students in a position to succeed. He is incredibly helpful and friendly if you have any questions or concerns. Taking his class is one of the highlights of the engineering curriculum. HIGHLY recommended.

Doug is proably the best teacher in the ME department. This guy lives for teaching. I have seen him staying on campus til 11 at night helping students. He is incredible. More teachers should learn from him. Always try to have Doug instead of anyone else.

I really think that he may be the best teacher I have EVER had. The class would destroy me if he was not amazing. If you do not understand something ask him and he will clear it up. He is always in a rush and he is a living calculator! SUPER SMART BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! Dynamics is very hard though. DOUG PETERS IS THE BOMB!
