Comment:
Having taken several of Doug's classes over 30 years ago but not having seen or spoken to him in over 25 years but I still use many of his lessons daily. If you are looking for and easy "A" or to just show up and get thru the semester you are missing a huge LIFE lesson by not taking his classes as a opportunity to improve your life.

I'm saddened that I'm leaving this class since Agbestiafa was such a great professor. He knows his topic and really wants you to understand. He grades fairly and loves to answer questions. He is willing to work with you when you need help. For our class, he enjoyed our company and had fun along with us. Highly recommend for honors.

Professor Agbetsiafa knows what he is doing. He is hard to understand some of the time, but if you put forth the time and effort you will receive a good grade in the class. He curves a lot of the grades also.

Professor Agebetsiafa is an excellent professor getting unfair reviews. It is true that he is sometimes difficult to understand when he is talking but if you pay close attention, ask questions, and take the time to talk to him about what you don't understand he can be a great help. He knows the subject and wants to help you.

If you read the chapters and ask many questions, you will do extremely well. He grades extremely fair, sometimes curving. He lives his subject and has passion for it. However, he is a bit difficult to understand in lectures so be sure to study before tests.

He loves to challenge his students to go deeper. Many students get mad because he approaches the classroom and teaching with professionalism. Economics is is hard subject to understand, but if you are attentive and commit studying time, and forget the partying, you will pass. He has also become my business advisor.

This prof seems to be very skilled in the area of Economics, however, he is in desperate need of "teacher" training. He worled solely from the publisher-created powerpoints, but didn't seem to look at them ahead of time. I'm quite certain he has no idea what "active learning" should be, and he wouldn't unless he had taken an education class or 2.

His lectures are very organic and right-brain. He requires you to think and learn. He tends to digress but in doing so presents a bigger picture and context not offered in the textbook's examples. Very interesting guy. IUSB is lucky to have him. Difficult tests but wants to know you are "getting it" so be sure to challenge him or ask questions.

Maybe its his accent that makes it so hard to understand certain things that he says, but the worst part is when you have a question he answers it in a way that makes you feel stupid! He is also very sarcastic. To begin with, this subject is hard, and this professor is quite a character which only makes it harder!
