Comment:
He is such a great professor in that he cares about his students. He is the opposite of those professors who are flippant, sarcastic and unhelpful that makes students unable to learn. He'll answer your questions during office hours paying close attention to what exactly you should need to understand. He would also bring up those again during class

Professor Hearn will be one of the kindest professor you will ever run in to in Wellesley. Some students say that his traditional teaching style doesn't work with them, but there are also other majority of students who appreciate his user friendly lectures. He makes sure that you understand it and repeats and gives examples on difficult topics.

Very boring. Is clear about the subject. Does not inspire one about chemistry.

He put me to sleep almost every single day. If I had been awake, I would have learned something, because he's not a bad lecturer, but he inspired no particular interest in anyone. Helpful in office hours, but not the greatest at explaining things in class. I could do the math, but didn't know why I was doing it (for analytical chemistry).

difficult to learn the material because he doesn't teach it in an orderly fashion, jumps around between ideas. the extraneous examples and conversations about weather and chemical news eat up class time, so that we are tested on material that we had to learn from the book on our own.

Great professor, too bad I wasn't cut out for Chemistry. But he was always very helpfull and generally a very humble guy, easy to approach and learn from.
