Knows his stuff & loves his job. Lab was self taught but he'd give a little help if asked. Wants you to get it and learn proper ways of doing things academically and scientifically. Would definitely take him again, but teaches no other courses .Power point notes are his strong point for material, but book is needed (I had 7th edition, he uses 6th).

Very hard professor- but it's because he wants you to get it and be the best at it! He' loves rocks and teaching about them, so I found once we were out of that section his interest dropped. His labs are self taught-though he will help if asked. The quizzes are mini tests, you pretty much need to know all of the chapter material. I'd take again.

I'm not surprised at people writing negative reviews. Unfortunately there are people who don't focus, don't pay attention, and don't show up to class, yet are shocked at low grades and test difficulty. He is a great professor. He will not hold your hand. If you need help, ask and he will help you. He is intelligent and interesting. Loved this class

I had Prof Bill for Earth Science. He is a good professor. Like many, he teaches the class on the basis that you have to want to learn. If you want it, you walk out with a good grade. People who need their hand held and complain should go back to high school. College classes are not supposed to be easy, you know.

This prof. is not a good teacher. He does not care if the students get the material and is just there for the paycheck. He is completely boring so save your money and your GPA because you will not learn anything from him. He expects you to teach yourself and does not put any work into it. By far the worst professor I have ever had.

Honestly, Doug Bill is the MAN. At first he seems like a jerk but he is super funny with a great sense of humor. Show up to class and labs and pay attention. The book is easy reading. Just make sure you stick with it and study all the quizzes for the test and you'll ace the tests. Go to the nature walk. It's a good time.

Please don't take any of his classes. I had to drop it becuase the guy sucks at teaching. The labs consist of him handin out a package of paper with no lecture on how to do anything and expects a 5 page lab report every week. Offers no help to the student and plays with a ball during lab and is not intrested in helping the student.

Douglas Bill should not be teaching. His class ring is on his ring finger indicating he is obsessed with education. Stay away from his class. His tests are impossible to ace and he speaks in monotone. My advise to you is join the army before you ever go to his class. He is a very very very bad teacher. Never ever take his class.

Good teacher. As long as you show up for class' and labs you should get at least a B. As for work: Quiz's on chapters are easy and have no more than 10 questions (multiple choice) and then just lab reports. Easy class, he's alot more laid-back and chill then he seems.
