Absolutely incredible prof: One of the smartest people I've ever learned under. The only issue I had with him was that he sometimes posted the readings on moodle the night before they were due. He knows his material better than any undergrad professor I've had. If you can take a class with him, do it. Work hard, and it will go well!

I cant believe the ratings here. Easily the worst prof I have had in my life. more than 40% of the class dropped because of how hard to follow and contact he was.

Doug Hay marks very fairly. if you honestly try, then you will not fail. I guarantee this. The class is long and reading are horrible. But you honestly do not need to read every word. that would be just a big mistake. he gives too many choices on exams so dw about doing all the readings just pick a few topics. i would recommend this course.

Very knowledgeable professor in his field. An Osgoode prof so he knows his stuff well. Tough marker though so you need to work hard to get a good mark in his class.

One of the top experts in his field, actually an Osgoode professor, specializes in late 18th century legal history, one of the smartest men i have ever met, and i was simply amazed to be sitting 10 ft away from him every week. Very helpful and funny, if a bit socially awkward outside of class.

More than knows his stuff. Funny, Clear and encouraging. By the end of each lecture he has skillfully applied his own make-up of chalk all over his face from pondering within his world of wisdom. Library his full of his books. A real treat.
