I was in the Teaching writing Summer class. Every day we wrote and read each others writing. Its was great. I have been writing ever since. She lit my writing fire!!

Took P Gay for a Flash Memoir class. She's okay as long as you do things as she instructs. She gives a decent amount of homework but it's easy. Every class we did a lot of small group work, be wary if you're shy. Probably the worst professor in the English Dept. because she's so boring but is bearable if you need a class that she's teaching.

Avoid. You will learn absolutely nothing about FF writing, instead its an Advanced Reading Comprehension course. She is obsessed with situation versus theme, writing FF summaries in less than 25 words, and discussing what the story is about instead of the process of how it was written. HW is pointless. I didn't learn anything. What a waste.

Agree or get told your opinion is invalid,because she knows every author.Her class was confusing with one-sided debates. Overall avoid her class if you want to have an say about the theoretical meaning of a fictional story. Take her class if you like nodding to anything you're told.

Pamela Gay is a lovely teacher. I found her class quite easy and if you turn up and pay attention you will do fine. She is kind and has a strong interest in her students. I highly recommend this class, and the writing tasks she gave were always fun and interesting.

This class was easy, went fast everytime, and wasn't terribly irritating. However, the professor was. She's absentminded, closed-minded, disorganized, and downright confusing. Impossible teacher. The most ambiguous woman I have ever met. Will cancel class sporatically. Unclear assignments, no regard for punctuality. The worst teacher I have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to meet. This woman is clinically insane; out of her mind bonkers. Avoid her at all costs or you will regret it.

It is impossible to understand what is due when and on what. She looses assignments constantly and will forget things that she has agreed to. She randomly adds things to the homework page and does not give you any idea about how you are graded...I got a "Bish" on my midterm portfolio..and most everything in it was an A..she really gave me a "Bish"

you basically have to be a mindreader to understand what she wants you to do. she is the most unclear and disorganized professor ever. will cancel class for the entire week. she will give quizzes and then doesn't count them. no work until the very end. avoid she is too frusterating to understand and you will have no idea what you are doing.

P Gay is one of the most unclear professors I have had. She will introduce an idea briefly in class and expect you to master it. I don't think she gives out low grades, but all I learned was where to and not to put commas. I got a B+ and did little work.

Seriously?! Jeez, I can smell the crap on your nose from here, buddy! Gay's idea of teaching is trashing you on your midterm, reducing your writing to a formulaic depersonalization, and then giving you a good grade on a final even if you haven't changed the midterm much. Gay is great! These other students must have their heads up their butts. Lazy spoon-fed students should not criticize. She is supportive, creative and experimental.
