Douglas Skopp was one of the best teachers I had while at Plattsburgh State Univ. One of the reasons why I am now pursuing a PhD in history myself. A great man and a treat to have in class. Take him and open your mind to his wisdom. It just may change your life.

Not only an amazing professor, but you learn just as much about how to be a good person as you do history. Reliable, friendly, warm, remembers names, personable...willing to get to know every student on a personal level. One of my favorite professors of all time.

Skopp is WONDERFUL. Caring, kind, generous. He is one to take time out of class to ask how everyone is doing and how their lives are. If you like a professor that gets right down to the point, he's not for you. He will spend about 15 mins of class asking how you are. But if you want someone who cares about your well being; he's your man.
