Yule takes great pride in helping us learn about Earthquakes in CA. Very easy! And the essence of the class is to actually learn. Weekly quizzes grades on participation. 30% of grade for a field trip. 20% for Shakeout Festival. Midterm and Final based on his power points and fun and interesting lectures! Great way to complete a lifelong GE!

Earthquakes in CA with Yule was very interesting and easy! You learn a lot of important material in this course. Books will def help! Go to class cus he goes over everything & answers questions! 6 quizzes (easy), 1 paper, 1 project, midterm, and final! Fun and easy class, you actually get something out of it, TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Professor Yule was awesome! I absolutely hated physics but he made it extremely manageable and easy to learn. Just study the review guides in the work book and past notes and you should do fine on all the tests. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Professor Yule is very knowledgeable & passionate about physical science. He is also able to relate it to his students in way that makes learning interesting & easier. He offers extra credit like building a battery for a contest (With prizes) at the end of the session. I would highly recommend Doug Yule for any science class. Worth it.

Prof. Yule is one of the best teachers in the entire school!He knows the material backward and forward, and he is more than willing to teach it as many times as it takes for you to understand it.He actually makes Science (a subject I usually despise) sooo interesting and made our whole class think,"Wow, so THAT'S why Science is important!" Dr. Yule is an amazing geology professor. His field mapping class is the reason I became a geologist. Take time to remember and listen to what he says, b/c he is one of the most intelligent geo professors at CSUN, if not in SoCal. He isn't arrogant.

Ok, I think this man is the best geology professor I've ever had. Those who think he is arrogant are just insecure with themsevles. It's not that he is arrogant, it's that he knows his stuff and he knows he knows it. He is always willing to help you understand difficult concepts in a NON-condescending manner. Geology needs more teachers like him!
