Im in her class now and you think after reading all these comments she would try and change as a teacher but she hasnt. she doesnt want to help you and she doesnt want you to succeed.she emails you in the middle of the night saying "hey by the way this is due tomorrow". I heard many students and teachers are petiioning for her to be fired

You learn nothing! Use the book a lot for stupid chapter summary worksheets. Never gives back assignments or exams until the last minute. Never responds to emails & you have to let her know in advance if you're coming to her office hours or she won't be there! A 15 pg paper that is worthless. Just make sure you go everyday & she knows your name.

I really dislike Gamble. SHe is a nice person and she knows her stuff, but she does not know how to teach. Clas discussion is totally irrelevant to test materials, she takes forever to hand back assignments, the average grade on test are 50 percent and she gives absolutely no feedback. I don't know why she still is a professor at UF

I noticed no one had rated Gamble in a while and I thought I should just say that she hasn't gotten any better. The only reason I got a B+ in her class is because me and a few other people in our class took her out to dinner. Your work has basically nothing to do with how you do, she has to like you. Participate a lot and bake her cookies.

i have to agree... it is ridiculous to not get papers back EVER and it takes her forever even to get back scantron tests. the class is very unstructured and i don't think i learned anywhere near what i should have considering that she is a paid professor. it's disappointing that UF emplys teachers such as her.

She is absolutely horrible at getting your papers back in a timely manner. Her grading system is not consistent, but as long as you meet the requirements for what she wants you should get a decent grade. She's actually very passionate about what she teaches, and I feel I learned a lot in her class, however it was just very unstructured. Good luck!!

This is the most unprofessional teacher I have ever had! Her grading of papers is not based academic judgement but rather on whether she likes the student or not. For the amount of money students pay for this lady to teach we should be able to get a better education and more office hour availability. She is bad at getting back to emails.I'd fireher

i think she is the devil. i hate her as a teacher more than anything and would NOT recommend taking her class at ALL. how she is teaching at UF i have no freaking clue!!! she grades papers based upon how she feels and won't help you out if you need it. HORRIBLE!! TONS of busy work to do that i don't see the revelance of doing. she should be FIRED!!

She seems to grade the papers based upon her moods and her grading scheme doesn't make much sense. She doesn't answer e-mails and it's hard to see her during her office hours (sometimes she doesn't show up and she cancels frequently). Very opinionated (though she claims not to be) and gives ridiculous busy work.

I'm surprised by the comments. Dr.Gamble is a VERY intelligent woman, who is very passionate in her field. Show her you care, & she'll give you her time. Show her laziness & disinterest, and she won't look your way. Dr. Gamble offers a lot to the T.R. field, & I look forward to more classes with her.

I thought I was getting a C, but I received an A. Turn in all of her busy work eventhough she doesn't read it. Check her grade calulations because she can't add. Don't torture yourself, take this class during the summer. Don't expect to get papers back in a timely manner and don't study for the tests, I got an F on all three and still did well.

pointless busywork, her "forced participation" is stupid; she expects it to carry the entire class pd rather than actually teaching, when in reality my time is wasted listening to students say anything to get participation credit. i dont understand what the point of this class is or why im taking it
