Comment:

One of the best things about Doyne is that while he may have very liberal views (although I'm not sure) you'll never know where he really stands. He is excited about your ideas and free thinking. He's fair and makes time if you put time in. He's probably my #2 in favorite prof's of all time. Thank you Doyne!!!

Doyne was arrogant and he was over opinionated and if you did not agree with him you were stupid. He was sick for half the term and would randomly cancel classes but then blame you for not understanding the material. Had to withdraw from his class because he was so rude and the class was so mismanaged.

Doyne is excitable, no doubt. One-on-one conversations reveal him to be a thinker. He is always interested in intelligent ideas, although opinions may differ. Although his roudy teaching style causes him to appear more academically liberal, his grading methods are commentary are rigorous and informative.

The best professor/teacher I have ever had in my life. I left his class each day excited and energized. He is hilarious, which kept me engaged as well as incredibly intelligent.

He's really fun and goes straight to the point. For WR123 you need to really pay attention to his intructions and work hard on your research paper. He tries to make it as easy as possible, but you still need to work hard on your part. He's very helpful, and he's a very intelligent man.

Mraz is a very encouraging, fun, knowledgable teacher. He taught me a lot about writing that other teachers neglected to teach. He cares about his students; he respects them and in turn demands respect from them. I will definately take Mraz for all my writing classes.

Doyne can be pretentious, but he teaches his students much more than just writing. He also expects students to be adults, and expects them to take responsibility for their class work. Very helpful. Every student that needed help or who received a bad grade was offered help and a chance to redo the bad grade, up to the end of the class.

Doyne is an awesome teacher! You only have to write 4 papers [not including the wpe]. he demands his students to know and use the mla format by the end of the class. He grades fairly, you have to work for your grade. i liked him so much i planed my next term around him.

Doyne was...alright. He's not my favorite instructor, but he'll get the job done if you decide to take him. The class discussions were usually pretty fun, but sometimes he took a more liberal approach to the subject matter than I would have cared for. I love writing, so I was expecting to enjoy this class a bit more than I did. Grades fairly.

Dr. Mraz is one of the few teachers at RCC that shows his enthusiasm in teaching. He makes writing fun and works hard at helping you succeed. His main objective is your success. He grades very fairly.

I didn't care for his teaching methods. He was pretty snobby to some of the students, too. The cool thing was that there was no textbook to buy, but you have to listen to him jabber on and a lot of the lecture is his opinion, not any facts.

Doyne is one of the best teachers I've had. The first day took care of my uneasiness about writing the term paper. His sense of humor makes the class great and fun to go to. I wish I could have had him for the previous writing classes.
