He really wants to help ppl pass, very good lectures, makes a hard class easy, nice guy, makes sure every1 knows material, explains things very well. However, his grading curve is stupid. You need to get an 8/10 on quizzes to get a curve for the test. So if you do well, you'll do better, if you are on the lower end & strugglin, you don't get curve

Not the easiest to pass if you're not interested in the subject. The key to doing good in his Micro class is to score well on the quizzes so you can get the curve on the exam. He offers extra credit for lectures and will begin to deduct points from your grade if you miss too many classes unexcused. He's a really nice guy.

His lectures can be hard to follow and he doesn't always seem prepared to lecture. If you have a question, he will help, but sometimes he just makes things more confusing. The quizzes are easy and the tests are like the handouts. If you pay attention and do the work, doing well isn't very hard. Lots of bonus opportunities too.

Comment:
The material in this class is not easy, but the way the class is structured is. His quizzes are 10 questions directly from the study guide, there a chance for 1 bonus point for every quiz, and his exams are VERY similar to the handouts. If you do the work, you'll pass easily.

Lets put it this way, he marked off a half a point on my exam because I wrote 74% (the correct answer) and not 74.0%. Kids come in thinking they can look over the study guide for an hour before test and pass it. It's not rare to see half the class with 45% on exams. Gives a ton of extra credit and kids still fail. Not an easy class.

Class is a little boring, a lot of graphs. However, Dr. Herr is willing to help if you are struggling. His explanations are usually VERY lengthy and full of stuff you don't want to know, but he WILL clarify the material... Eventually. Passing this class is simple: read the study guide and do the questions in it. Textbook is a waste of $180...

Macro is difficult, but Dr. Herr gives students the opportunity to compensate for this by giving quizzes with questions right from the study guide (answers in the study guide). It takes work, but there is no reason you can't get at least a B- in this class. Only complaint is that sometimes lectures are a bit overwhelming, but that might be me.

Dodges every single question in class. Lots of extra credit available. has a really strange curving system, if you do bad on quizzes, you don't get the curve points. . .

Hard class but Dr. Herr is a great teacher. He is willing to help you in any way possible. He gives a lot of extra credit if you are willing to attend lectures. Quizzes are also easy if you review the problems in the book, tests are ok if you study the study guide. Great teacher!

His teaching method and my learning style did not mesh, AND I took macro before micro. Result? I spent the entire semester confused. Still, there were lots of opportunities for bonus, and by cramming for the final I managed to raise my grade 2 steps.
