I'm going to agree with everyone who has rated her--she's a nut. A very nice nut, mind you, but no one else has ever given me a 56 minute "brief introduction" to a lab. She's a very nice person, with confusing tests, and yes, she goes easy on the grades. My main problem is the ecology teacher vs. 5th generation farmer's/coal miner's worldview.

Comment:

Dr. Walter is a very nice lady and is brilliant. The problem is that she cannot express her brilliance, meaning she cannot teach very well. If you are patient like me, you can handle her. But if you get frustrated with rambling and odd theoreticals, do not take a chance. The tests were somewhat confusing and rather difficult, but generously graded.

Wacky Walter need I say more. She did have cool field trips and labs were not that bad but she is a little out there. Nice lady though and will to go out of her way for anyone. We had a lot of fun with her class just goofing off. Not that difficult and as long as you explained yourself you got a good grade. I was not interested in the material though so it made class a little boring.
