Very knowledgeable, but he should never teach 1Ls. Lectures go over cases in the casebook that will not be tested on. Just read Dressler and find a good outline. His final exam is so long and convoluted that he claims that he cannot finish it. He simply does not actually teach anything. Get ready to watch a lot of scenes from mob movies.

Worst professor at STCL in my opinion. He gets off topic entirely too much. You'll spend every class going over cases in the casebook but only to be tested on Dressler. He's knowledgable about crim law but does not know how to teach. Once you've recited, you're done for the semester. I would advise just reading Dressler in class. Or just drop out

Professor Moses will give you everything you need to be successful. Professor Moses's website is the key to ensuring you do well in the class. Be sure to pay attention and complete the reading/prep he asked you to do. If you do this you ought to be able to make a decent grade. If you are lazy you will not do well in this class.

Well if you ever thought law school sucked, Moses makes that thought a reality. I LOVED criminal law coming into law school and hated it after this course. He only tests from the Dressler supplement, but you need the textbook for class. Also uses an insane website that is basically an online brain dump. Good luck. Best advice-find an outline.

Very lecture heavy and gets off topic very easily. Spends a lot of time shaming students about lack of participation. READ DRESSLER and use his website. His practice midterms are solely over the things covered in those two places. Final is exhausting.

He will judge you based on his perception of you regardless of his accuracy. Attend his extra classes, read and study his silver bullets, do practice exams, the best thing - learn to type quickly because you can do well by hitting more issues (quantity) than others. He says Dressler is a "supplement" NO it's your Bible. This is what you need.

Moses will teach you from the ground up how to run a trial in his CRIM ADVO class. If you already have those skills and are experienced in Advocacy like I was, he will blow your mind with Evidence. I lost many bad habits I picked up in mock trial this semester, and I feel very prepared to do an actual case thanks to him. Highly recommend

I got an A plus on the Exam. This class is tough as hell. Listen to me closely. DO NOT worry about reading the case book when you don't have to. Read Dressler. He will tell you that fifty times himself. He asked about crimes on the final that we weren't assigned to read. loves inchoate crimes, and my strategy was to be the best at it on final

I had this guy back in the 70's and I can tell from the comments that he has not changed or improved in 38 years. He does not get anything across to the class. I learned more criminal law the first 6 months of practice than I learned in class. I found him confrontational and not in a positive way. Chip on his shoulder.

There are no words. Only read on days you may recitate and once you volunteer never read again. I read Dressler every day in class once I volunteered for recitation. THE WEBSITE IS HIS BABY. It is the answer to every question. Bring your computer, even if you don't use it for any other class. He loves people who bring their computer. Good luck.

If you want an A do the following. 1) Get the Q&A 2) Ignore everything he says in class and read the Dressler book. It's practically the textbook for the class 3) Focus on the silver-bullets 4) Skip every class time you possibly can , during study month, and go to the lib and readstudy. 5) Casebrief dot come for your recitation.

He is the worst educator I have ever had or heard of. The case book and his classes are completely %100 useless. For the love of god trust me on this: The ONLY..., I repeat, the ONLY thing you need to study are his Silver Bullets and the "optional" Dressler Hornbook. His exam questions will ask "in Dressler" not in my class or in the casebook.

Req. casebook useless. Used for story time. Pay attention to Dresler's Understanding Crim Law. Required to learn 3 sets of law. Start memorizing big chart he has NOW. Essay is fair, mult. choice is not (double and triple negatives).

Horrible Teacher. Every class consists mainly of Moses reading off of his website (which is a complete mess). Expects you to know the MPC, TPC, and CL. The final is half multiple choice and half essay (with so many issues you are not meant to finish). This class only serves the purpose of hazing 1Ls with a slap in the face welcome to law school.

Proessor Moses is extremely knowledgeable in the area of criminal law. He has a great deal of real-world experience and will tell you what he wants you to know. Put some actual effort into his intra-semester assignments: I thought they were stupid at the time also. All in all, if you read the hornbook and find a good outline you'll do well.

I play lots of pc games in his class. I started that once I realized he didn't have much of anything to say outside of pointing you to his website. Terrible communicator in a one-on-one setting. If you have the slightest disagreement he reports it to Prof. Worley.
