Dr. Koehl is an excellent professor. She explains concepts in the depth that she requires you to know them and does it well. She is a tough grader and it takes a lot of work to get an A, but its not impossible. She's very helpful outside of class and always willing to make appointments. I have learned so much from her class and would take her again

Dr. Koehl is an amazing professor. Her love and passion for bacteria and microbiology really come across in everything she does! Her classes are not "easy," but with genuine hard work, effort, and interest in the material, anyone can succeed. She really is there to make sure you learn and understand the material. Overall, she's an awesome teacher!

The absolute BEST teacher I have had at St. Vincent yet! You have to work hard but if you make the effort she will help you with anything and hint out the most important parts for tests! I highly recommend taking her!

LOVE Dr. Koehl. Not because she is easy, because microbiology is not easy, but because she really cares if you know what you are talking about. She will explain things 50 times over if the class doesn't understand. If the outline tells you to read something on your own, READ IT. And NEVER abbreviate anything on your tests, not even DNA.

Awesome. what else can i say? she's fun, and an excellent teacher. couldnt ask for more. I didnt study enough at first, got a bad quiz grade and a low B on my first exam, but then i started studying a little more and got a perfect on a quiz and an A on the second exam. takes any questions seriously and finds answers for the next class. take her!

Dr. Koehl is one of the best teachers in the bio department. She explains her material well, but she also expects you to do your work. You can do well in her class, as long as you are willing to do what is expected of you. The tests are difficult, but you get used to them by the end of the year. Great teacher for research.
