Great professor super fun really easy. He enjoys what he teaches and if you want a science class take his astronomy course. I would recommend taking him to anyone who wants to take astronomy.

This class was so frustrating. Dr. Smetanka is a great guy, but he is SO CONFUSING, many things had to be reworded or explained further to understand what he wanted. Most of the class is obnoxious busy work, and the tests are hard. He's always open to help, but the hard work doesn't always pay off.

Dr. Smetanka was a pretty good Astronomy professor. He as a person is a little awkward, but he's very nice and helpful with questions. His tests are a bit overwhelming, but there are enough other things he gives that are easy to add to your grade. He is very accommodating.

He is one of the most easy going and nice professors at SVC. If you are having troubles in his class he will not hesitate to help you. I think he's a very smart man who has limited teaching skills. And how amazing was his weight loss! Wow!

he can be very dry sometimes...he is a wonderful person and is involved in so much at SVC..teaching may not be his strong point though...as the semester wears on, he does seem to be getting better though...i learn mre from the book than i do from him though...he is GREAT GUY though! And SEXY!
