Don't let some of these ratings fool you. This guy is a great teacher. He's probably one of the most thought-provoking professors I've had. Just always makes you think, and everything is so clear when he explains it. Too bad he's retiring. such a shame.

What can I say? I love logic so this class was great for me. Just go to class, pay attention, and ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT. You'll do fine! He's a nice guy - really cares if the class knows their stuff or not. Recommended.

He's very funny and very knowledgable. He makes it clear where he asserts his bias (which he does frequently) and helps you understand the material. Any help outside of class requires effort. Essays graded fairly. Tests not so much. Essay q's unclear.

Nice guy. I think everybody should take this class. Steve is very funny and even though I had a hard time with it, I think people should challenge themselves and take this course! Your thinking skills will be well honed

Hell of a logic professor. Loves to tease his students with puzzles that make the point, and with examples that can be morally sticky. Over 3 years his classes were the high-point of the week, for someone who thinks logic should be more fun than math.

This professor makes no sense and although I got an A in the course, he was very unhelpful with what I was looking to learn...most students agree with me. Dont take a class with him EVER
