Dr. Walker is a very nice lady, but she doesn't teach you. She reads off PowerPoints and just talks at you. She laughs at her own jokes all the time and doesn't know people's names by the end of the semester. Do not take her if you don't have to.

Not the worst professor at SVC but def. not the best either. All Powerpoints! Her tests aren't easy, but she gives study guides. She takes attendance everyday & still doesn't know names. You have to read the book. She avoids answering questions & laughs at herself a lot. My class gets quizzes after each chapter. Honestly, I wouldn't want her again.

The tests are definitely ridiculously hard. I studied for ages and have gotten to B's. I'm sure it's possible to get A's...I just can't figure out how! Her lectures are okay - some days boring, other days interesting. She brought back the quizzes...we've had 4. They're easy as long as you do the reading the night before

She's certainly a sharp-cookie who knows her stuff. Very knowledgeable about the field of School Psychology, but her lectures had the tendency to be a little dry. Her tests were quite difficult despite how hard you studied. It is possible to earn an A though. She helped considerably with my graduate school planning too.

I am proof that if you miss class you do bad on tests, but I am also proof that if you come to class and pay attention and read the book, you're fine. I got Ds on the first 2 tests, and came back to get a B- in the class. Very nice, smart. No quizzes, but there is a workshop.
